The shortlist contains Wyldello, Amaretto Rose and Chomba Womba, with the vote going to the first-named. Apollo Lady keeps on improving, as her Sandown Listed third behind Karello Bay last time can testify; however, Wyldello was beaten a neck into second by the winner there and rates a major player today on this flatter track. Amaretto Rose won well on her Towcester debut and, from a good yard, is respected. The stable also runs Fontwell winner Paix Eternelle, who should also be considered but Mick Fitzgerald has opted to ride Amaretto Rose. Chomba Womba has very good Irish form and comes into calculations, while Rhacophorus beat subsequent Listed winner Karello Bay on her latest start, the form of which would give her good claims, while Scarvagh Diamond was not disgraced when fifth in that same Listed race. Of the others, Strawberry showed promise on her debut, but this is tougher, and Saratogane was sixth in that Listed Sandown event we keep referring to but, again, this flatter track could help her cause. Overall, then, once again, we will stick with Wyldello.
