Verdict

The selection for the Queen Anne is Proclamation, with Ad Valorem and Peeress rated as his biggest dangers. If he is fit and well, last season's Jersey Stakes and Sussex Stakes winner Proclamation is the one to beat, it's as simple as that. With the well-backed Home Affairs a late defector through lameness, the selection's strongest opponents will probably prove to be last season's Sussex Stakes third, Ad Valorem, even though he was well beaten on his seasonal return, and the Lockinge Stakes winner Peeress, who rates as very progressive. The Lockinge third, Court Masterpiece, might prove best of the rest but Proclamation is the one they all have to beat.
