In depth

Verdict

A competitive affair with many in with chances. Peruvian Chief has yet to win on turf but he has been running well of late however he may be better over a slightly longer trip. Salviati has conditions in his favour and he should have the race run to suit and he looks the one to beat with his stable beginning to hit to top form. Awake could also go well but his best form is with cut in the ground. Proud Boast has been in cracking form of late but he is creeping up the weights and he may find one or two rivals better handicapped. Of the outsiders Henry Hall could run well at a big price.
