Verdict

This looks as competitive as the previous division and a big run from Jay Kay in the 2.55 would boost confidence in ECHO OF LIGHTNING. The former beat Brian Ellison's charge less than a length here last month while Desire beat Royal Duchess, who also runs in the previous race, at Newcastle last time. Others with claims include Azrur, penalised for winning at Musselburgh last week, and Nice Thoughts, who went close at Chepstow a week ago. Top weight So It's War is not out of this but Daylight and Abi Scarlet have done all their winning over shorter trips so far.
