It would be lovely to see Jonnie Skull notch another career success as he embarks - quite remarkably - upon the 199th race of his career. He hasn't scored since May last year but does love rattling fast ground and win number 22 is not out of the question in such a low-key contest. Few of his rivals have been in good form this term which increases his chance but ESPOIR is taken to spoil the party. She has yet to visit the winner's circle but is one of the very few here with a relatively consistent overall profile and dropping down to a career-low mark of just 48 puts her in with respectable claims on the back of a decent third to Frank Bridge at Brighton latest. Lettuce Snow has shown nothing this term but will be a contender if able to find the best of her form from last season, which included a useful second here a year ago.
