Verdict

GIANT'S QUEST won a handicap hurdle here in August before a fine run in the Irish Cesarewitch. He was having his first run since then at Leopardstown a month ago and that should have put him spot-on for this. Lindenhurst scored over timber in October and though a beaten favourite on his last two starts he's performed with credit over a trip too short. He's an obvious threat while Ger Lyons' must be confident of Snowmane's stamina as he steps him up from an impressive victory over 1m2f at Down Royal where he thrived on the quick ground. Black Spot On was in excellent form on the Flat and over hurdles earlier this year and, though 10lb higher than his victory at Leopardstown, he's still reasonably treated. Takeyourcapoff has won his last two over hurdles but the much quicker ground could pose a problem on his return to the Flat.
