In depth

Verdict

Chad Brown has few peers in North America with his Turf horses and bids to win this for the fourth time in succession. He runs three with the unbeaten Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner Lady Eli looking the first choice. She beat third-placed Pine Needles a half-length here last time. Spanish Queen is a Grade 1 winner at Santa Anita and the German filly Olorda is a Group 3 winner in France partnered by a leading rider in John Velazquez. Ireland have won this twice in the last 10 years and look to have another good chance with OUTSTANDING. Aidan O'Brien's filly took a further step forward with victory in a Listed Oaks Trial at Naas last month and may well emulate her brother and Breeders' Cup Turf hero Magician by landing a Grade 1 race stateside.
