Tarn Hows has been placed in novice events and tries his luck in a handicap for the first time, but Simonside has disappointed since landing a couple of races at the end of last year though he's dropped in class here. Nowurhurlin has won twice over these hurdles including a handicap last month, but is 10lb higher for his troubles so a chance is taken on SAMSTOWN. He went close over today's trip at Musselburgh on his penultimate start and has plenty of scope on only his third outing over timber. Ayr winner Ros Castle has something to prove over the distance and Badgers Retreat would prefer faster going.
