Verdict

Daddy Warbucks will lead these a merry gallop and whatever gets past him is likely to win. He's up 6lb for his victory over a mile at Thirsk but is just as good over this trip and will take some catching. Idler is another front-runner who made all over 6f at Newmarket on Saturday. He carries a 6lb penalty here and is likely to be vying for the lead from the off. Lady Layla is finding her form and came with a late run at Wolverhampton after missing the break while Rusty Rocket, runner-up over 6f at Ripon on Monday, has a C&D victory to his credit though his two later wins were over 5f. Half A Billion scored over the trip in May and his last three starts have been over 6f but it's MICK SLATES who is handed the vote. He has a 6lb penalty to carry for his victory at Thirsk last week but Jason Hart claims 5lb of that back and Declan Carroll's charge scored over the C&D on soft ground last month.
