In depth

Verdict

HEADWAY makes a quick reappearance after landing a maiden race at Chelmsford on Saturday with the minimum of fuss. The Haggas colt can defy a penalty and get the better of Joe's Spirit, a runner-up at Bath on his debut. Tangled ran green at Ascot on his introduction and this is easier while Starboy is another likely improver. Shawwal is the first foal of a winner on the all-weather and makes most appeal of the newcomers ahead of Bath And Tennis.
