Hell's Bay beat Medermit in a Grade 2 over a longer trip here a couple of years ago and is thrown in on that form. But he's not got close to that effort in nine subsequent runs and is worth opposing again today. KIE gave a bold sight in a Grade 3 at Aintree earlier this month and kept on well for pressure once headed. Providing that effort hasn't taken too much out of him, Donald McCain's novice could take some catching here off only a 2lb higher mark as he appears to have the beating of Anquetta. Cruchain was handed this race on a plate last year when none of his four rivals completed but Mister Matt was clear when falling at the last and will make a bold bid to gain compensation after a recent victory at Plumpton. The others have all been below-par lately.
