Verdict

This has all the hallmarks of a rough and tumble affair as there is plenty of pace all the way across the stalls, and there is likely to be plenty of scrimmaging for places during the first quarter. However, Boston Lodge is a tough customer to deal with and he should be able to force his way through the pack to gain a prominent position. Paul Cole's charge looked as if he was in need of the run on his reappearance before running a good second to Rifleman at Ripon last month. Those outings should have put him spot on for this and, assuming that the ground is not too fast, he is taken to land his third career win. Fellow Ship, who was gelded over the winter, made a winning start for his new yard last time, but needs to conclusively prove that this trip is ideal for him. Largo D'Orta and Weavers pride have place claims on the pick of their form, whereas seven furlongs is probably the limit of course specialist Inter Vision's Stamina.
