    Verdict

Last year's race was a walk in the park for Rainbow View, who was a red-hot ante-post favourite for the 1000 Guineas. This year is not much different as we side with SETA, who is as short as 6/1 for Newmarket glory next May. Pivotal continues to flourish as a sire of Group One racehorses and this filly could be one of the next generation. She routed a field at Newmarket on her debut by eight lengths and there is no doubt about the current form of the Luca Cumani stable. From that race, the second and third have both won since so the form stands up okay if not amazingly, however she is open to so much improvement. From the family of Gossamer and Barathea, this filly has a very bright future and she is taken to light up this afternoon's card. Virginia Hall has a rating of 105 after finishing second in Listed and Group Three company last month, and this Medicean filly looks a contender if seeing out this longer distance, whilst one suspects that Pollenator is better than we have seen so far and this longer trip should suit. Her trainer knows this crop of juveniles inside and out and a big run is anticipated. Hibaayeb is highly thought of but needs to improve, as does the Shamardal filly Clarietta although her beating of Audacity Of Hope last time received a boost on Wednesday. Gallic Star has looked a bit one-paced so far but she looks sure to improve for this longer trip as her breeding would suggest and she is not one to take too lightly. Neither is the once-raced Quiet, who belied weakness in the betting to win easily at Leicester on her debut. That bare form needs improving on with the runner-up rated just 73, however this Observatory filly is from the family of Passage Of Time and Twice Over, both horses who have won Group races, and her trainer has his horses in scintillating form.
