Verdict

RIBAAT went to Haydock with a big reputation and duly landed his maiden in the style of a very useful performer. Entries in all the big autumn juvenile events suggest he's held in high regard and he can take this before going on to better things. Upward Spiral showed the benefit her opening victory at Sandown with a fine run in the Queen Mary and though tackling another furlong it's unlikely to be a problem. Top Boy was disappointing when dropped back to 5f at Pontefract but there's nothing wrong with his earlier form while the form of Cour Valant's Nottingham victory could be given a boost in the opener by runner-up Bravo Youmzain.
