Alkadi was given a positive ride by Joe Fanning to beat Watt Broderick over a mile at Pontefract and this drop in distance shouldn't pose too many problems. Hayek returned to winning ways at Carlisle last time and is another with solid claims but Main Beach gave the impression he was still a shade high in the weights when second at Newcastle and Ryedale Dancer lacks consistency. RED TRUMP will have needed his C&D run last month and may not have handled the soft ground as well as others. He'd looked a decent prospect on the all-weather over the winter and still has time on his side so could be worth an interest in this.
