    Verdict

WAR POET was well beaten on his hurdling debut in a Listed race at Haydock last week but this is a marked drop in grade for David O'Meara's charge, who will also appreciate the faster going here. He can open his account at the main expense of Boston Blue, Embsay Crag, Fantino and Gogeo, who have also won on the Flat but are having their first start over timber today. The others have much to find on what they've shown so far under NH Rules.
