In depth

Verdict

Massini Lotto's defeat of Hold Court in a point-to-point last year was an eye-catching piece of form and he probably needed the run when well beaten on his hurdles bow at Plumpton earlier this month - better is expected here. Kenai Peninsula and Supreme Asset both bring winning form into the race but have the obligatory 7lb penalty. Alan King's charge may be the pick of that pair today while Squire Trelawney and Wychwoods Brook are both bumper winners, though the latter was a tad disappointing when only second on his hurdles bow at Leicester. Consistent chaser Kings Grey will be a threat to all after ending a frustrating sequence here last month as the runner-up has already boosted the form but RED DEVIL BOYS may have more scope and gets the nod. Already a winner between the flags, he was very impressive in a bumper here on his reappearance and an earlier run at the track has also worked out well.
