An apprentice handicap ends racing here in South Yorkshire and we expect SALEROSA to take the honours at the main expense of Comrade Cotton and Silly Gilly. The remainder have little on offer in the way of good, consistent form so a market check is advised. The selection was a winner of a mile contest at Beverley last time and her stamina should come into play again here and see her to victory. The four year old filly has been in great form this year and now looks to have found her stride. Comrade Cotton was also a winner last time and has been progressive so far this year. Things may be more difficult for the five-year-old today but a run anything like her last should see her take the runner-up spot at least. Betteras Bertie did well to finish third last time but his slow starts are to be of a concern and although he does well to make up ground late on, a finish among the minors seems the best connections can hope for. For the winner we are happy to return to Salerosa who is tipped to complete a quick-fire double.
