Qoubilai was undoubtedly disappointing when pulled up at Leopardstown where front-running tactics didn't pay off. His earlier close third behind King's Bastion on the same track would put him right in the picture here. Dual bumper winner Cottage Oak hasn't run for over a year but didn't perform badly in maidens before his absence while Golan Guy must have been showing something at home prior to his run at Fairyhouse last month as he started a short-priced favourite before finishing third behind Day Of Destiny.
