After a very good run behind Ligeti over the track and trip, Annagassan was expected to do better next time but raced much too freely. PURPLE PARTY, runner-up to today's rival Try Again off levels early last month with Three Majors behind, should have the advantage tonight and has since run a fine race behind War Room in what looked a better race than this so gets the nod. Shukhov was only just behind in that latter event so has to be considered while Roter Baron won here a year ago from a 9lb higher mark and showed signs of a resurgence last time.
