Verdict

Mosman Park created a surprise when landing a slowly-run handicap under Dylan Robinson a fortnight ago and is just 2lb higher. He's not certain to get the run of the race this time though is still nicely treated. Coach Bombay wasn't far behind in fourth and with a stronger pace likely he could turn the tables. CARVELAS is still a maiden after 16 starts but his overall form, especially when close-up behind Ancient Sands at the Curragh in October, suggests he's well capable of scoring at this level and Tom Madden's claim can help him home. Echua is a major threat as he was having only his second start since 2010 when scoring at Wolverhampton a month ago when well supported. A 6lb rise is halved by his rider's claim and he should go well. Well Insured is rarely beaten far but has now gone 32 races without winning.
