HAUNTING VOCALS had shown nothing in three maidens and started out in handicaps on a very lowly mark which she took advantage of at Gowran. That was on heavy going and she's 7lb higher on her all-weather debut but is still likely to prove better than a 61-rated handicapper. Teardrop Island attempted to make all over 7f here a couple of weeks ago and though unable to cope when passed can do better over this trip ridden with more restraint. Smiling Eliza has had plenty of experience and has been staying on at the finish in 7f nurseries on this track so looks certain to be suited by the extra and Oisin Orr's claim is a bonus. Itschessnotchekers was unlucky not to finish closer here last week and finished strongly though that was over 6f and he has another 2f to travel here.
