Dermot Weld won this last year and Simannka, who was placed in Listed company in July, has the quality to get competitive. Ringside Humour is very consistent at this level and fought back with real determination to score over the course and distance last week so she has to be on the short-list. BREATHE EASY finished just in front of the latter when an excellent runner-up to tonight's first reserve Maudlin Magdalen in a premier handicap at the Curragh. That was only his third start of the season and, though worse off with both, can go one better. Windsor Beach is an obvious threat as he's been in fine form all summer and may have been unlucky not to be going for a four-timer as he was impeded when narrowly beaten at Leopardstown last month. Spruce Meadows is at the right end of the handicap though 10lb higher than his victory at Galway in July.
