Verdict

The standard set by Dean's Grange isn't particularly testing and he needs to bounce back from a modest run in an admittedly competitive handicap hurdle last time, so we'll take him on with DUNRAVEN STORM. The Philip Hobbs-trained son of Presenting did well to win two bumpers, with his sole defeat coming when outclassed at Cheltenham, and he looks an above average recruit to the novice hurdling division. That his latest success came here bodes well as does the fact he won first-time-up, suggesting the absence won't be a problem, and he's taken to beat fascinating UK debutant Remember Now. This horse is a half-brother to 2010 Champion Hurdler Binocular and if he's to get anywhere near the achievements of that illustrious sibling he should be running well here, but this is his first run under rules and he's been off for a long time.
