In depth

Verdict

French import Randjo could be of interest on his first start in a handicap representing the Alner's but he looks a shade high in the weights and it is hard to get away from TARA TAYLOR, who gets the vote ahead of Aconitum. Neil Mulholland's gelding ran much better when chasing home Raise You Five in a heavy ground handicap at Fontwell on Sunday and he has an obvious chance racing off the same mark today. Merry Music has struggled since making a winning debut in a Galway bumper in July 2004 and of more interest may be Alldunnandusted. The Seamus Mullins-trained gelding won by the narrowest of margins at Plumpton earlier this month and he has to be considered but a 7lb rise for that success makes this a lot tougher and a better bet looks to be Tara Taylor. Charlie Longsdon's mare is relatively lightly raced and looks to be going the right way so looks siding with.
