Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won the last four of these and relies on Cole Porter, who will improve for his run behind Restive at the Curragh, and the newcomer Successor, a Galileo colt and a half-brother to two winners in the USA. Al Mohalhal showed the benefit of his opening run with a much-improved effort behind the filly Enjoy Yourself over 7f at Gowran and this longer trip is certain to suit. ALASKAN SON was a major eye-catcher when runner-up to Landofhopeandglory at the Festival here. David Wachman's colt came home at a rate of knots and, with progress guaranteed, he should go one better. Dermot Weld's Ebediyin, a half-brother to no less than nine winners, is one to keep an eye on.
