    Verdict

Dale Gibson can make his first ride for Marcus Tregoning a winning one as Jadalee can beat Art Eyes and Orange Touch in this Listed event. Tregoning has been very patient with the son of desert Prince, insisting only firm ground will do. He was pulled out of two events at York earlier in the week and his strong-finishing second behind leading St Leger fancy, Sixties icon, in the Gordon Stakes over 1m4f at Goodwood, suggests this extra two furlongs will be ideal. Orange Touch has proved fragile for Amanda Perrett, notching up just 13 runs even though he is a six-year-old and, unlike Jadalee, would need cut in the ground to be seen at his best. Therefore, Art Eyes is classed as the main danger. David Elsworth's horses are in good shape and the son of Halling put up a career best-performance when chasing home tartouche. Ground and trip won't be a worry, and he can prove the main threat to the progressive Jadalee, who is given a confident vote.
