In depth

Verdict

Golanbrook won a maiden over slightly further here last month but made a bad mistake and weakened rapidly when tackling 2m4f at Punchestown. He's better than that and will get a good ride from Andrew Heskin while Shark Hanlon has snapped up the in-form Brian Hayes for Warrior One, a very progressive novice for Howard Johnson last season but returning after a long break. CONCRETE AND CLAY was in fine form at this time a year ago and is just 7lb higher than when scoring at Thurles. He's run very well on his last two starts and Matty Bowes' claim can enable him to regain the winning thread. The biggest threat may come from the youngster Szabo's Destiny, who came home a clear-cut winner under Danny Benson at Naas and a 7lb rise shouldn't prevent another big effort.
