    Verdict

Hanseatic League, Gifted Gamble and Countdown look the three worthy of serious consideration in this maiden and Hanseatic League is given the narrow vote. The selection has shown plenty of promise on his two starts to date, finding one too good on each occasion, and although holes can be found in that form, it still looks the best on display here and as such he is taken to score. Gifted Gamble has shown plenty of promise and he ran well when second to Bond City at Carlisle last time. However this race is slightly tougher and he will have to improve to lead them home. Countdown is a well-bred sort and it would be no surprise to see this colt make a winning debut. Sir Mark Prescott's string are now starting to fire so he could go well, but as with the other newcomers, the clues will be provided in the market. This could prove to be quite an interesting race, but Hanseatic League is given one more chance to reward his supporters.
