In depth

Verdict

SOLWAY SAM can take the nightcap at the expense of Peveril and Cool Mission. It is always a difficult task for winners to give away a penalty in the bumper but this well bred sort is likely to be in the shop window for the bigger connections and having impressed at Ayr on his second start, we take him to give another positive account today. Peveril is one of a number of runners under the Trevor Hemmings banner. His first run was on a dreadful afternoon at Chepstow where the mud was hock deep. Cool Mission has to be respected from the Alan Swinbank team. He will have learnt plenty at Kelso on debut having initially been outpaced. He would need to reverse form with Ballymacduff in order to win this. Timmy Murphy replaces regular pilot Jan Faltejsek in the saddle. Shannina represents a yard that are having winners though Henry Daly isn't noted as a prolific trainer of winners in bumpers. Watch the market in relation to newcomers Danny Cool, Redland and Ridgeway Boy all hail from yards that can have them ready first time out in this sphere. This looks a strong bumper but as he hails from unfashionable connections, Solway Sam should represent some value granted the opposition.
