Verdict

Brian The Snail lost his unbeaten record at York when failing to run any sort of race but that wasn't his true running. Second Thought continued his winning ways when landing an All-Weather Championships contest at Lingfield last month and is a threat to all but Poet's Vanity was well beaten in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and she has something to prove racing over 6f for the time while Ballydoyle’s Alphabet has it all to do on these terms. Compatriot Medicine Jack is preferred having won the Group 2 Railway Stakes at the Curragh last year but HARRY ANGEL is clear at the weights and finished well ahead of Mubtasim when runner-up to Blue Point in a Group 3 at Ascot on his return - Clive Cox’ colt looks the one to side with in this.
