Verdict

Caius Marcius goes handicapping for the first time after landing a novices’ hurdle at Perth in June. But COOL BARANCA (NAP) won a handicap over track and trip in October beating previous dual winner Big River over three lengths and Dianne Sayer’s charge gets the vote on that form. Pulpitarian was runner-up over these obstacles last time but in a lower grade and Endeavor also faces a tougher task after finishing second in a chase last month. One For Hocky needs further but Suprise Vendor won off a similar mark early this year.
