Verdict

The late Dessie Hughes won this twice in the past four years so daughter Sandra will be hoping Cataclysm can improve enough to keep up the tradition. It doesn't look the strongest of heats but with his stable in such good form it's THE WELSH WIZARD who looks the one to be on after placed efforts behind a couple of very smart Willie Mullins' hurdlers. Bright Prospect enjoyed soft conditions in his opening runs over timber but has been well beaten on quicker ground subsequently. Further rain would aid his cause as it would Icantsay, who stays much further having been placed in two point-to-points.
