Verdict

Desertmore Stream could have his Galway form boosted in the previous race by Pink Hat, who finished third in that event. He's running so well at present that even his big weight shouldn't prevent another big effort. Courtncatcher hadn't been running well before returning to form at Cork while Mrs Mac Veale, who completed a hat-trick over timber last autumn, scored over fences at Tramore on Sunday and makes a quick reappearance. Blossom Gate gained a surprise victory at Galway but a 10lb rise looks harsh and Protaras was beaten a long way despite finishing runner-up at Downpatrick. OFF THE CHARTS hasn't always been consistent and was beaten a long way at Galway but his earlier victory over a huge field at Punchestown points to his chances and he may just have needed that last run, his first since May, so he looks the one to be on.
