Verdict

Amateur riders' contests are notoriously tricky but MENDACIOUS HARPY has come to the boil steadily in the last month and looks ready to strike after a really good effort at Chepstow last week. Her rider is inexperienced under Rules but did finish second on her only ride to date and can hopefully go one better. Michael Mullineaux has a double chance courtesy of My Time and Stanlow, both of whom have decent chances with the latter preferred of the pair as his stablemate has yet to get his head in front on turf. Natalia has a 0-26 career record but houses each-way claims, but if ready for a first run since January it is Officer In Command who could prove most troublesome to the selection. He's into the veteran stage now but knows how to win and posted decent efforts in low-grade handicaps during the winter campaign.
