In depth

Verdict

Steve Drowne has been booked for LOOKSMART, which looks a good move by connections who should see their filly break her duck in this moderate contest. Officially rated 76, Richard Hannon's juvenile is proven on fast ground and over this 6f trip. She did disappoint on her second run, but that may simply have come too quickly after her debut and she was back on form last time out, which makes her the one to beat. Shugar Rhi made a nice enough debut at Bath when the ground was soft and pedigree suggests that a step up in trip and faster ground will suit, so watch the market for a clue to her chance. Thomas Tompion is dropped back in trip after trying 7f last time out and he may well want rain to be seen to best effect, while Hackett should appreciate this furlong further and is not ruled out. The debutants are likely to be better further down the track.
