Verdict

FEDERAL RESERVE is the tentative suggestion to get the better of higher rated rivals Sassanian and Royal Etiquette. It may not pay to get too hung up on official marks in this company but, on a strict reading of the book, Federal Reserve has it all to do on today's terms. However, he appeared to enjoy the step up to ten furlongs when battling on into midfield in a handicap at this track last time and the further step up in trip, coupled with the drop in grade may be sufficient to see him put his head in front. Sassanian was flattered by his proximity to Stags Leap at Windsor but it was still an excellent effort and he has form over course and distance too so rates as a leading player. He is better drawn than Royal Etiquette who is the best in at these weights and he's run well enough at Wolverhampton to think that he will handle this track but he did run abominably last time and has a high draw to contend with. Frameit finished just behind Sassanian over course and distance in May but is significantly worse off at the weights whilst Mnarani has his stamina to prove at this trip so, although he may not be one for the mortgage, we prefer to take a chance with Federal Reserve.
