In depth

Verdict

The Panhandler's second to Craftsman on heavy going at Listowel was a fine effort and he wouldn't need to improve much to take a hand. BELISARIUS was unfancied on his debut at Gowran but caught the eye in no uncertain terms, just starting to make ground from the rear when stumbling and losing all chance. With that behind him he can make amends though a close eye should be kept on his stablemate Gypsy King, a half-brother to three smart winners. There are plenty of nicely-bred newcomers to look out for including Dermot Weld's Good Tradition, who is related to a host of winners.
