Verdict

A huge field but little strength-in-depth and EMPEROR OF EXMOOR is offered the chance to gain compensation for an unlucky run at Leopardstown. That was over 2m4f but he had the pace to challenge from a long way out and would probably have won but for failing to obtain a clear run. Frontline's bumper victory at Killarney was gained on very fast ground but he ran quite well on his hurdling bow on softer going at Fairyhouse and there's more to come. High Net Worth, a winner at Dundalk in November, refused to race there last month so is obviously one to be wary of and former UK Flat winner Lisa's Legacy may need another run after a moderate debut for new connections. Street Party was still in touch when falling at Wexford and may prove best of the remainder.
