Verdict

BALDUCCI comes out top in the ratings and David O'Meara wouldn't be sending him here for a claimer without good reason. He's been running in tough handicaps without disgracing himself and should gain his first success in over two years. Mabait has a similar profile as he's been competing at a high level without success including when a close second to Ashaadd in a Class 2 handicap at Haydock last time. Balty Boys was fancied for a similar race at Sandown last month but could only finish third of four while Polar Kite has wins in this company but faces much sterner opposition this time.
