Verdict

Richard Hannon rattled-up a hat-trick of winners in this race before missing out last year. However, he looks determined to win it back this season with half the field representing the East Everleigh trainer. Richard Hughes rode Suite to victory at Kempton last time where he had a subsequent winner back in third but has decided to stick with ORIEL for this. The latter found one too good at Ascot on last week's debut and that looks stronger form than stablemate Hedge End's victory at Chepstow. Alutiq will be looking to spoil the Hannon team's plans and even though she returned a losing favourite at Salisbury last time, she's much preferred to Diamond Lady and Lady Frances.
