Verdict

There has never been an Irish-trained winner of this but Willie McCreery will be hoping to change all that with Lethal Promise, who was impressive over this trip at Naas before finishing fourth in a Group 3 over 6f at the Curragh. SHUMOOKHI was a length-and-a-half behind Come On Leicester in the Queen Mary but bettered that effort in two subsequent runs in pattern race company in France and may well turn the tables on the Hannon filly today. She is also preferred to Scintilating, disappointing in the Princess Margaret after making a winning debut here. On The Stage was a good fourth in the Super Sprint here last month but Gypsy Spirit was receiving 12lb when just ahead of Thriving in a hot nursery at Newmarket recently. Implicit is on a four-timer but So Brave, Heartwarming and Swiss Air may have more scope.
