Verdict

Valmari would have a chance at the weights in this but her jumping has let her down on occasions and she may lack the scope of some of her rivals. There aren't that many mares only novice chases in the calendar and most of these have clashed at some time this season. Fentara beat Micro Mission by almost 40 lengths at Kelso in January and was far from disgraced when third in a Grade 2 at Wetherby last month. Jackies Solitaire and Marie Des Anges have taken well to the larger obstacles while there should be more to come from Urgence D'estruval and Tara Rose came good at Bangor last month. But the classy VIOLIN DAVIS has already beaten the latter pair and Jackies Solitaire this term and, despite conceding weight all round, can complete the four-timer.
