Verdict

Another really tricky puzzle to solve as, in the previous race, a number of these are old rivals re-opposing on different terms to when they last met. Call Me A Star and Eleven Fifty Nine seem to follow each other around the country. Alan King's mare usually comes out on top but she faces a stiff task under top weight, though easily beat September Blaze at Doncaster last time. Mickie handles soft ground but is a bit one-paced, though had Highland Retreat and Glorious Twelfth behind at Ludlow last time, while Hidden Identity has more to do than when winning at Carlisle last month. Ballinahow Star is returning from a break but Va'vite kept on well to score at Towcester nine days ago and Sedgefield winner Umadachar will have her supporters with McCoy doing the steering. TOO GENEROUS had made giant strides since finishing well behind Hidden Identity on her hurdling debut and, just as significantly, handles heavy going really well. David Pipe's five-year-old can take this with Alder Mairi looking best of the rest.
