Verdict

This looks a very classy renewal with the weights headed by Middle Park fourth Hey Jonesy, who beat Staxton at York earlier. But a line through another York winner, Tangled, suggests he may struggle to give weight to NEBO, who gained a deserved success in the Horris Hill at Newbury in October after a string of fine efforts in Grade 2 company. Finniston Farm was behind the selection in the Superlative Stakes on the July Course here last summer but is 7lb better off so should finish much closer being less exposed. Better is also expected of Folk Tale this year while Snazzy Jazzy made it three from three last season when landing a valuable sales race at the Curragh last September. Rufus King won three times last year and was second on his reappearance at Lingfield in a Listed race but he looks exposed, as do Great Prospector and Anna Nerium. Another Batt was well beaten on his return to action at Newcastle.
