This looks the stronger of the two divisions of this maiden with plenty of unexposed types open to improvement. Academy has questions to answer, however, having his first start since failing at long odds-on at Nottingham last October. Jameel is progressing with experience and only found Almagest too strong over this trip at Windsor last month, while Korithi is surely better than she showed at Kempton in April. Shaqira finished ahead of Figaro and MAHAYOGIN over 1m4f at Folkestone at the end of last month but Sir Henry Cecil's gelding, the stable's second string, was very much the eye-catcher on debut that day. This galloping track should play more to his strengths and he may have improved enough for the experience to open his account here.
