      Verdict

      An interesting turnout for this modest prize as Hallmark Star showed potential last season and, as he's by Nayef, will have found Doncaster's 1m2f just too short on his reappearance. Amoralist was the easy winner of a 1m1f maiden at Wolverhampton on his final start, though his dam was a sprinter, while Ruacana has been running on well on all three starts over 1m1f at Wolverhampton. Singalat is very stoutly bred but, like Moontrap, his only success came on very fast ground. WINNER'S WISH beat today's rival Amoralist comfortably enough over 1m2f on ground with give at Bath in September and should confirm the form on her way to another victory, though Gabrial's King has been in superb form at Wolverhampton and there's no reason to believe he won't transfer his improvement to turf.
