In depth

Verdict

Trojan Flight has perhaps just gone off the boil but he has a plumb draw here and he can come good again, with Online Investor, Oeuf A La Neige, and Kew The Music others for the short list. The selection put up a succession of decent efforts from marks around 60, at both five and six furlongs this summer, and although six is arguably his optimum, he has won over five at Beverley last month and this stiff five should be ideal for him. He seems to go on any ground, so that won't be a problem, and despite being fully exposed he has a better chance than most from this berth, so we will take another chance on him. Conversely, Online Investor seems better over the minimum trip, and Dandy Nicholls' gelding cannot be ruled out here after some encouraging efforts off this mark on his last three starts. However, he has to come from fairly wide and that might just prove his undoing. Oeuf A La Neige and Kew The Music are also both drawn virtually on the M62 here and will find it tough to come from stalls 19 and 20. However, their form means that they do merit consideration. Both are in good heart at present, though both would also prefer six furlongs, with the latter having a tough penalty to have to try and defy. On balance, they are both opposed here, and we will plump for Trojan Flight to go in again.
