Lasoscar's double at Roscommon included a dead-heat and he couldn't cope with an extra 8lb at Clonmel. Kara Loca reverted to hurdling at Listowel in September and would have troubled the judge but for falling at the second last. Her jumping is an issue but a clear round would see her in the shake-up. Clontarf was running very well in the early part of the summer and, if ready after a break, should be on the short-list but it's about time FIRST TO BOOGIE was winning. The eight-year-old was considered more of a chaser until recently when two very good efforts over slightly shorter trips on this track suggested he would soon be winning over timber. The four-year-old Rock Lobster is consistent enough and not out of this on his handicap debut.
