Verdict

Hazyview created a big impression last time and is selected over the likes of Red Lancer, Lets Roll and Winged d'Argent. Hazyview absolutely bolted up a the Craven meeting, beating Hello It's Me by five lengths, and as he was eased down near the finish, could still be ahead of the handicapper. With Dominic Fox able to claim five-pounds as well, he has to be the one to beat if in the same mood. Red Lancer has been knocking at the door since returning to turf, and the step back up in trip will help his cause, while Lets Roll is another that will relish the trip judged on his staying on second at Ripon last time. With Camrose and Laawaris only returning to the fray, Winged d'Argent may be best of the rest. Mark Johnston's colt, related to Mana d'Argent, handled the soft ground when making a winning debut at Pontefract 17 days ago and would not be sent down from Middleham to be an also ran, so do not let his inexperience put you off backing him for a place at least. After his awesome performance at Newmarket though, Hazyview will take some stopping in the finale.
